Ready for the heavy machinery?
Clearing a lot is a major undertaking. If you're thinking about doing it yourself, I would suggest clearing your calendar for the next year or so.
Your time is valuable, especially when your plot of land is not being put to use. Rely on our team of professionals instead.
The most economical choice is to hire a team and the heavy machinery to get the job done quickly.
Depending on the number of trees and their species, different methods could make more sense.
Knock 'em over.
If your trees are old, bulldozing the lot could be the way to go. Older trees are easier to uproot, as their root structures are past their prime and beginning to decay.
After the trees are down, cutting them into pieces and removing them with cranes and trucks is a much more straightforward process.
Fell with chainsaws, remove stumps with a backhoe or chemical rotting.
This can be preferrable when you have younger trees. Less brittle in the stump, they contain more potential energy and are more likely to snap unpredictably. Taking them down the old-fashioned way is safer - a piece at a time with chainsaws.
Once the trees are down, the stumps remain. Young stumps have more robust root structures that are harder to pull up with brute force.
A backhoe is overkill for a one-stump job, but for a whole lot of stumps, you can't beat it for the time it saves you. A medium-sized backhoe will pull an ornery stump up in minutes, like a dentist popping out a molar
Chemical stump removal may also be an affordable option (more effective with the older stumps). With this process, we drill holes in the stump and fill them with potassium nitrate and water, causing a chemical reaction that rots the stump within weeks, making it easy to pull out. This process takes longer, however. Don't consider it if you need to put your land to use yesterday.
We take pains to adhere to all state and county regulations in the clearing of your lot. Trust in our expertise to do the job right.
Some of our competitors will clear your lot ... and then leave you with a disaster area. But hey, the trees are gone!
We guarantee that not only will the trees and stumps be removed, but the topsoil replaced to prevent erosion damage. You deserve to be handed a usable lot after clearance.
